It is not overlooked by other terraces as is often the case in the Albayzin. The patio, which spans the length of the house, continues all the way to the end of the property where there is a tap and old-fashioned washing sink which could be renovated into a nice outdoor kitchen and barbeque area. The patio provides a great outdoor entertainment space which is easily accessed from the living room and kitchen area, meaning that enjoying meals in the winter sunshine or summer evenings would be effortless.

 

The house, in the shape of an L, enjoys the natural light and views of the patio from all rooms except one bedroom and the living room. From the patio, the front door leads us into the living room. From here, a door to the left leads into the recently renovated part of the house: the bright, modern kitchen and the bathroom (with shower) beyond. 

 

To the left side of the living room is the access to the three bedrooms. The property needs renovation, although a very light and manageable one. Although it currently has three bedrooms, it would be better suited as a two bedroom house with a third room for use as a study, office or entertainment space as currently one has to walk through one bedroom to get to the next. In the case of this house, there is a very easy solution. It would involve closing up the current door to the first bedroom and instead opening a door directly into the middle bedroom which would then be used as the study or entertainment room and would give access on each side to the remaining two bedrooms. As mentioned earlier, the spacious main bedroom on the right could potentially have an ensuite bathroom by utilising the storage room that is directly next to it and creating access from the bedroom. A third suggestion would be to close up the access to the bathroom from the kitchen and open a door directly from the living room. These easy and inexpensive changes would give the house a better sense of flow and ease of use.
